UCD’s recently upgraded climbing wall is located on the Belfield campus within the UCD Sport Facilities and is a popular amenity that attracts a wide interest from the young to the old.

The wall offers various membership types to suit the complete beginner to the most proficient climber.

The UCD Mountaineering club may use the wall free of charge during their allocated club times. All other times a cost of €3.50 is required along with a valid UCD Mountaineering card (distributed from the Sport Centre).

We provide regular beginner courses for adults and children. These courses provide one with the basics of climbing in a fun and safe environment. Upon completion of these courses there is scope for children to join our winders/gecko club that meets during set times in the week at the wall. Adults can also avail of membership to our wall after completion of the beginner’s course.

*Please note during term, UCD Mountaineering Club has exclusive use of the wall between 5pm-7pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
