An evening with Hazel Findlay and Dave Macleod
5th September 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm BST
Hear from two of the UK’s most talented climbers.
Dave Macleod is a Scottish rock climber who has been doing top level first ascents in most climbing disciplines for 20 years. In April 2006, he established the climb Rhapsody on Dumbarton Rock which, at a grade of E11 7a, was possibly the hardest traditional climbing route in the world.
Hazel Findlay has been climbing for 20 of her 28 years, and started out trad climbing on the limestone sea cliffs of Pembrokeshire. She was the first British woman to climb a trad route at E9, and free El Capitan in Yosemite which she has now done three times.
The night will also promote the work of Urban Uprising to help facilitate the creation of new projects in Bristol. It’s a great opportunity to find out how you can be part of a growing community, actively facilitating the less fortunate to find climbing, stay engaged and surpass their expectations. All profits from the event will be fed back into Urban Uprising projects throughout the UK.
All ticket holders get free entry to The Climbing Academy or Undercover Rock (membership rules apply) on the day of the event.
Come along, get inspired, and go smash your objectives.
